Ogden, UT (October 1, 2024) - Analytics and ad-tech platform Datafy announced today the addition of three key members to their growing team of tourism and retail industry experts: Anna Blount, Chris Christmas, and Keri Hanson. Blount, Christmas and Hanson bring decades of experience in the tourism and retail industries and will play a pivotal role as Datafy continues its trajectory of rapid growth and technological expansion.
Blount joins Datafy in the newly-created role of Vice President of Industry Research, where her role will focus on increasing industry education around the use of big data within the research continuum. She has over 15 years’ experience in market research, focused primarily on visitation, resident sentiment, and how research and data can help DMOs meet their advocacy goals. Blount joins Datafy most recently from Longwoods International, with additional experience from roles at MMGY and Publix Super Markets.
Christmas has stepped into his new role as Senior Director of Business Development, where he will be involved in all aspects of business development, including identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth within the Datafy portfolio. He joins the Datafy team with a strong background of data analytics within the tourism industry, and specializes in collaborating with tourism organizations on how to utilize data in effective and innovative ways. Most recently, Christmas worked as the Director of Destination Partnerships at Key Data, a provider of short-term rental market data.
Hanson has joined Datafy as Business Development Director of Retail, where she will lead the growth of Datafy’s rapidly-expanding retail vertical. Hanson joins Datafy most recently from Theisen Supply Inc., with previous experiences at Brand USA, Macy’s, Sonoma County Tourism and U.S. Travel Association. She brings an extensive background in partnerships, eCommerce and digital marketing, and will focus on improving the business performance and customer engagement of clients through digital optimization, loyalty program, and cross-channel marketing strategies in her new role.
“To say we’re excited to have this kind of talent joining our team is an understatement,” said Datafy Co-Founder and CEO Candie Perkins. “And it’s no coincidence that we have three industry powerhouses coming on at the same time. Now more than ever, Datafy is poised to continue to thrive as we enter our next phase of growth.”
These new appointments come at an exciting time for Datafy, with the company recently unveiling extensive upgrades to its technology suite, signing on additional big-name clients, and continuing the major buildout of its retail vertical.
